Web Assignment 2

Web Assignment 2

Q Web Assignment Two: Draft a body paragraph with Explication For this Web Assignment, you will apply the Explication Mini-Lesson to your own essay writing. ***If you have not carefully gone through that lesson, go there now then return*** Two purposes of this assignment: 1. to provide you with a draft of one of your body paragraphs for essay 2. 2. to provide you with an opportunity to get feedback on your attempt at explication, a very complex skill from 1A that many 1B students still struggle with. For this reason, I suggest you turn this in early so that you get input early. You already have the raw material for this paragraph: Simply look back on the "outline" you submitted for Lab 2, and choose the body paragraph that you would like to draft first and you can begin. Below are the components of a body paragraph per the Explication mini-lesson. Please write your paragraph to follow the format from the lesson, paying particular attention to the explication section. Directions: (1)Copy and paste these headings into your work file, (2) draft your paragraph keeping the headings in place, and (3) then copy and paste it back into the text box. Be sure headers are present so that I know what parts of the paragraph you intended different materials to be. The story “Grace after Midnight” symbolizes the author’s views of things changing, and thus, the conflicts are visible in many of her statements. For instance the quote from the passage (Pg 4) Baby Girl- “You’re my precious baby,” she’d say. I’d smile at her, close my eyes, and fall asleep inside my dream.” This story, Grace After Midnight, is just as the name represents. It’s about how life has conflicts, and how one can still manage to walk out the negative and come to the positive.
